A film buff from Leicestershire is showing a rare collection of film footage shot in the county between the1920s to 1970s.The material shows urban and rural scenes of the county donated to the Leicestershire Film Archive by local people. It will have a public airing at a special screening on Saturday at Rearsby Village Hall in Leicestershire. The material has been collated by Pete Groschl, from Ratby in Leicestershire, who is a keen film archivist. He'll give a talk about the footage.
"It's a beautiful film. It's pure nostalgia for some people and for others it's the love of seeing places they recognise but that may no longer be there."
