With its theatres, museums and even Godiva Festival, Coventry has been recommended to bid to become the UK City of Culture in 2021.
The city would follow in the footsteps of Hull, which was named the UK City of Culture for 2017. Hull beat Leicester, Dundee and Swansea Bay to the right to hold the title.
Since gaining the title for 2017, Hull has placed enormous emphasis on its 'freedom of the arts' by attracting international speakers to the UK, whilst also promoting the city for its unique and eccentric attributes.
A successful bid could be worth around £80 million pounds to the economy.
Despite a number of entrepreneurs and locals wanting the prestigious title for Coventry, it will be the Council who will make the final decision on whether the bid will be supported.
If Coventry decides to go ahead and support the bid, they will not find out if they have been successful until 2017.
