Lord Janner due to appear in court next month

Former Leicester MP Lord Greville Janner is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on 7 August in relation to allegations of historic child sexual abuse.

Leicestershire police launched an investigation into historic abuse two years ago.

They declared last month that criminal proceedings are now active in relation to Lord Janner.

He denies all the allegations.
