Anti-fracking campaigners deliver hundreds of letters to Nottinghamshire County Council

Campaigners opposed to fracking in North Nottinghamshire have delivered hundreds of objection letters to the County Council.

Speaking to ITV News Central, campaigner Irene Procter said:

A consultation to allow people to have their say will close on the 23 December.

Today people opposed to the plans handed over objection letters to planning officials, and re-iterated their concerns about what they claim are risks to public health.

Energy company IGas has submitted plans for exploratory drilling for shale gas at two locations outside Mission near Retford.
