A security company boss from Castle Bromwich has been attacked on his own driveway in a violent carjacking.
Vince Cappellie was targeted outside his home on Stoneymore Drive on February 25.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows Mr Cappellie kissing wife Jennifer, 47, goodbye as he was about to leave for work.
Suddenly two man in balaclavas rush from a Ford Kuga parked nearby, began hitting him and demanded the keys to his Audi Q7 parked in the drive.
Father-of-two Mr Cappellie, 57, refused and was then violently attacked with heavy iron bars.
Mr Cappellie said:
They told me to hand over the keys and I in no uncertain terms told them they weren’t going to have them.
One man then got into the Audi Q7 as Mr Cappellie lay injured on the ground.
As they reversed off the drive Jennifer, who had been trying to call neighbours to help, got into her own car and tried to cut them off.
She nearly succeeded in cutting them off but the men just managed to get away.
When paramedics arrived they thought both Mr Cappellie’s arms were broken but it turned out it was just heavy bruising.
Mr Cappellie added: “We need to catch these men before they strike again.”
Police are appealing for help to catch the men responsible for the attack.
