Teenager recovering from brain surgery attacked and thrown in canal
A teenager who's been recovering from brain surgery was allegedly attacked, robbed and then thrown into a canal by three men in Digbeth.
Jack Lloyd was meeting a friend to celebrate his birthday when he was attacked on a canal towpath, shortly after 3pm on Sunday 4th September.
The school pupil from Edgbaston was still recovering after receiving six hours of brain surgery at Birmingham Children’s Hospital back in July.
According to Police the three men began talking to him as he was walking along the towpath and then carried out a vicious attack.
He was left with cuts and bruises from the attack and they also took his mobile phone, credit card and bus pass.
West Midlands Police is currently investigating the attack and is appealing for witnesses or people with information to get in touch.
The three men police are keen to speak to in connection with the incident are described as Asian and around 20 years of age.
