Midlands Paralympians to watch: Tuesday 13th September

After winning her fifth Paralympic gold medal last night, Ellie Simmonds goes for her second gold of the games in the S6 400m freestyle.

The Walsall swimmer has won this event in the last two Paralympics.

15-year old Ellie Robinson from Northampton is also going in that event, hoping to cause Simmonds a real test.

The heats begin at 13:45, with the final at 21:40 BST.

Kirkby in Ashfield's Ollie Hynd competes in the S8 100m backstroke. Ollie won a bronze medal in the event four years ago in London.

He has already won a gold medal at this games but his strongest event takes place on Saturday where he defends his Paralympic title in the SM8 200m individual medley.

His heats begin at 15:04 and is the final is scheduled at 23:14

Shooter, Ryan Cockbill from Birmingham is aiming for a medal in the SH2 10m Air rifle.

Qualifying begins at 17:00 with the final taking place at 19:15.
