The jury in the trial of a 15-year-old girl accused of murdering a mother and daughter in Lincolnshire has been hearing transcripts of her police interview after her arrest.
In the interview, the teenager, who was 14 at the time, describes how she plotted with a boy, also aged 14, to kill Elizabeth and Katie Edwards - then carried out their plans a few days later.
Mrs Edwards, 49, and Katie, 13, were found dead in their beds at their home in Dawson Avenue in Spalding in April. Both had been stabbed through the throat.
The jury was told the two teenagers met after school to plan the killings. They had intended to take their own lives afterwards but didn't go through with it.
The girl also told police she had felt suicidal and was relieved that the plan had been carried out.
She denies murder but admits manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility because of her mental state at the time. The boy, who is also 15 now, has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder.
