Highways England have reopened the roads on Spaghetti Junctionandthe A38 in Birmingham one month before it was expected.
The roads agency say they have worked round the clock to complete the work ahead of schedule.
As part of the repairs, new waterproof material has been installed designed to protect the structure for the next 20 years.
We’re delighted to be able to complete the scheme more than a month ahead of schedule and to give motorists a festive boost ahead of late night shopping in the coming weeks. We’re grateful for motorists bearing with us as we completed this essential maintenance work and we understand the frustration that can come from roadworks.
