A 101-year-old paedophile has been jailed for 13 years.

Ralph Clarke from Birmingham committed a string of sex offences against three victims in the 1970s and early 1980s.

It is believed he is the oldest defendant to be convicted by a jury in British legal history.

Clarke was found guilty of 17 offences of indecent assault, 11 of indecency with a child and two attempted serious sexual assaults at the end of a two week trial at Birmingham Crown Court in Friday.

The retired truck driver from Erdington had previously pleading guilty to nine offences relating to a schoolboy part-way through the trial.
