Midlands charities helping women back into work

When it comes to job interviews, we all know that first impressions count.

That's why charities across our region are helping women to get back into work, by providing them with a smart outfit and interview coaching.

Smart Works, a charity based in Birmingham, helps those who are unemployed and may have faced various challenges in the world of work.

It's now looking to expand to help even more women boost their confidence, as well as their job prospects.

Another charity in Derby has also committed itself to helping boost the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged and vulnerable women.

Women's Work supports over 500 women every year, helping them turn their lives around and gain the confidence to get them back to work.

Their 'Opportunities for Change' project provides clothing, transport and helps teach those all important confidence skills to nail their job interview.
