Lucky escape for passengers as bus crashes into car

Passengers had a lucky escape when a bus crashed into a car in Harborne and mounted the pavement.

Paramedics were called to Lordswood Road at 12.30pm today following a collision between a bus and a white Peugeot.

But a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said no-one required medical treatment at the scene.

The road was closed in both directions near the A4123 Court Oak Road junction. Police were at the scene and put a diversion in place.

Services affected included:

  • 11A and 48 via Court Oak Road

  • Fellows Lane and War Lane

  • Service 24 was also diverted in both directions via Court Oak Road and Queens Park Road.
