People driving to the Royal Derby Hospital are being told to expect disruption for the next two weeks, as one of the entrances will be closed to traffic.

The first entrance to the hospital site, off Uttoxeter New Road as you travel out of Derby City Centre, is completely closed to all traffic this weekend.

From Monday, it will be closed to traffic wishing to enter the hospital site, but vehicles will be able to exit there.

The closure is part of work to introduce a one-way system to the hospital loop road, which will come into force in April.

The Trust which runs the hospital says the main entrance off the roundabout will not be affected.
