Police urge owners to keep dogs under control after 325 dog attacks were recorded last year

Staffordshire Police say they had 325 cases of attacks by dogs where people have been injured last year.

The figures have been revealed almost a week since four-year-old Jonathan Bloor had his face bitten by a dog while in a park in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers say severe cases are rare, and they're reminding dog owners to keep pets under control when out of the house.
