Roy Hodgson 'new favourite' for Leicester City job

Former England manager Roy Hodgson is the new favourite to become the next permanent Leicester City manager after a continued gamble today, according to bookmakers William Hill.

With odds having been 10 to 1 at the start of the day, he is now 13 to 8 with Craig Shakespeare 5 to 2, who was 5 to 4 at the start of the day. William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said:

"The money that we are seeing for Hodgson at the moment suggests that he is target number one, Shakespeare is now odds on 4 to 7 to NOT be in charge for the Sevilla game in two weeks' time."

The bookmaker currently has the following odds on the permanent replacement for Claudio Ranieri who was fired last week:

  • 20/1 others
