A theatre is trying to track down an actor who starred in one of their plays back in 1909.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has recently received a framed collection of old postcards, signed and posted to a Mr William Oliver.

Officials are now trying to reunite Mr Oliver with the collection and believe he featured in their production of 'The Little Minister' at the start of the 20th Century.

What’s particularly interesting about this story is that we believe William Oliver to be a local actor.

The production of 'The Little Minister' is from a time in which there is a great deal missing from our archive collection.

The opportunity to explore the decade, production and actor in question is hugely exciting and I hope that somewhere, someone can recall something about it.
