Police are appealing for witnesses to help them trace three people who allegedly stole a quantity of mobile phones from a Carphone Warehouse in Burton.

The reported incident is said to have taken place at around 11am yesterday morning (Saturday 29 April), at the Middle Yard retail park store.

Police say three male offenders arrived at the scene in a blue Renault, before two masked men entered the store and used knives to threaten the staff and force them into a storeroom.

It's said the offenders went onto steal a large quantity of Samsung mobile phones, with their value being described as 'significant'.

There were no reports of any injuries and there were no customers in the store at the time.

Of the two men who entered the store, one was described as black, wearing dark-coloured clothing, and the other was described as white in light-coloured clothing.

Police believe the surrounding areas of the retail park would have been busy with shoppers, and is urging any witness who may have seen the incident to contact them.
