It's difficult to imagine how the families involved coped with such a terrible event. I want the crowd to get behind both teams and make it a day to remember for all involved. I am sure it will be an emotional day, too. Joel was a remarkable young man.

It promises to be quite a day. We are hoping that all the celebrities will help us to raise money in Joel's name, playing the sport he loved best, at the home of the team he supported.

The friendly, which will also benefit Compton Hospice, will see the 'Smiling Saddlers' take on the 'Compton Wolves' with kick-off at 3pm.
