Road closed after derelict building collapses

A road was closed after part of a three storey derelict building collapsed last night.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene on Radford Avenue in Kidderminster around 9.40pm on Wednesday.

Surrounding properties were evacuated as a precaution but nobody was injured.

Hereford and Worcester Fire Service confirmed three fire crews were sent to assist police and they left the scene at 12.51pm today.

We sent crews from Worcester, Kidderminster and Droitwich to attend after the rear of a three storey derelict property collapsed.

All utilities were isolated and surrounding properties were evacuated.

The road was cordoned off by police.
