A man on a bicycle attempted to abduct a teenage girl on Monday.

The man, thought to be aged between 40 and 50, rode past the girl a couple of times before approaching her holding a large band.

The incident happened shortly before 9pm on Monday 28 August in the Abbeydale area of Redditch.

The victim was walking in Ipsley Alders Marsh nature reserve before a man on a bicycle emerged from a field near Rush Lane and Snowhill Close.

Fortunately, the victim escaped unhurt after shouting for help.

The man is described as white, bald, around 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a grey jumper and black gilet.

The bicycle he was riding is described as a grey, silver or white mountain bike with a bright LED light on the front.
