Police officers have shot dead a bullock that had been on a rampage through an area of Solihull.
One school was reportedly forced to go into 'lockdown' and pupils are understood to have been kept safe in the main hall.
Bullocks are young bulls that have been castrated and raised for meat purposes.
The animal was spotted in the town centre and reportedly entered Monkspath Junior and Infant School in Farmhouse Way, Shirley, before escaping.
Armed police were called to an area near the M42 at around 12.30 where they surrounded the bullock before shooting it dead.
