Fatal stabbing victim named as Jaskaran Kang

The victim of a stabbing in the early hours of 6 January in Dudley has been named as Jaskaran Kang.

The 24-year-old from Handsworth was pronounced dead at the scene at 02:30 on 6 January, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff to save him.

The incident happened at a flat in Stourbridge Road in Dudley.

Jaskaran's family are now appealing for people to come forward with information and have paid their tribute to him:

He was a lovely and caring hard-working father, son and brother who has been taken too soon. Everyone loved him and the family and community are in shock and we just want justice.

A murder investigation is underway.

Detective Inspector Justin Spanner, from the force's Homicide Team, said:

I am appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at around that time and saw anything unusual going on to get in touch.
