The East Midlands Ambulance service is set to meet members of the community at a local temple in Leicester later today.

They will be speaking to people at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple about the different roles within the service, showing them around an ambulance, and teaching vital CPR.

Kuldip Singh Bhamrah, an Emergency Medical Technician who was recently named in the New Year's Honours List, said:

This will be a brilliant opportunity for us to raise awareness about the work that we do and teach community life saving CPR skills.

The visit is part of celebrations to mark the religious celebration that commemorates the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs.
