This Evening and Tonight: Clear periods across the north will allow icy patches to develop. However in the south, low cloud and patchy mist and fog are likely. Towards the end of the night, cloud will thicken from the west.
Sunday: Outbreaks of sleet or snow through the morning into early afternoon giving some accumulations, especially over the Peak District. The snow becoming lighter in the afternoon, turning back to rain.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Monday, mostly dry, bright and breezy, and less cold. Mainly dry on Tuesday and milder. Rain arriving from the west later, lasting well into Wednesday. Windy at times.
