Stoke City have announced Gary Rowett as their new manager.
The 44-year-old has signed a three-year contract after the Potters agreed a compensation package with Derby County.
Rowett started his managerial career with Burton Albion, before joining Birmingham in October 2014.
The decision to appoint Rowett comes after former manager Paul Lambert left the club earlier this week by mutual consent.
We are delighted to be able to move so quickly to secure Gary’s services and we are now looking forward to working with him towards our objective of returning to the Premier League as soon as possible.
Derby County have thanked Gary for his contribution to the club and are currently searching for a new manager.
