Stoke City have signed striker Benik Afobe only 11 days after signing permanently for Wolves.

He has completed a six-month loan deal with Stoke, with an obligation to sign him for an undisclosed fee in January.

On 1 June, Wolves bought Afobe for a fee of £12.5 million from Bournemouth after the club decided to follow up on their option to sign him after a successful loan spell.

The 25-year-old scored six goals for Wolves in his loan spell after signing in January.

If there’s one signing you want to make to get you out of the Championship Benik is that kind of player.

He’s an excellent character and at 25 he has bags of potential but has already shown what he’s all about by scoring a lot of goals. He fits the profile of how I want to play in terms of pace, athleticism, flexibility and he certainly has an eye for a goal.
