High jet of water flooding road

A burst water main has flooded a road in Birmingham.

Chapel Lane in Great Barr was partially blocked this morning (June 26).

Footage on social media shows a jet of water reaching high into the air while commuters drive through the flooded road.

South Staffs Water say the burst main has been repaired.

The burst water main on Chapel Lane in Great Barr has now been repaired and no customers are currently off supply but some may experience water discolouration.

Traffic management is in place and the road will be closed for 3 to 4 days, while the damage is being repaired.
