Police search for driver after 100-year-old man hit by car

Police in Shrewsbury are trying to trace a driver, after a 100-year-old man was knocked down by a car.

He was hit by the vehicle on the garage forecourt of The Mount Service Station on Monday at around 11am.

Officers say the driver and passenger of the Vauxhall Corsa involved stopped to help him to his feet, before driving off.

He suffered minor injuries and was treated in hospital.

Officers are keen to trace the driver and passenger and would ask they get in contact with police. The driver and passenger, or anyone with information, should contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 227s 230718.
