Two people arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a six-year-old girl by dangerous driving have been bailed.
A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman had been questioned about the death of the youngster, who was hit by a car in Smethwick, late on Saturday, West Midlands Police said.
Witnesses said the girl was with a man who appeared to be her father when she was knocked down at a pedestrian crossing on the Oldbury Road dual carriageway at about 10.50pm.
The two people arrested after the incident were released under investigation on Monday as specialist officers continue to support the family of the young victim.
The force have urged for any witnesses to come forward.
