Rail users travelling to London from the Midlands are being warned of disruption due to planned closures of Euston station.
Passengers from places including Birmingham, Solihull, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Rugby will all be affected.
The days of closure are:
- Saturday, August 18th 2018
- Sunday, August 19th 2018
- Saturday, August 25th 2018
- Sunday, August 26th 2018
- Monday, August 27th 2018 (Bank Holiday)
- Saturday, September 1st 2018
- Sunday, September 2nd 2018
If travel is essential, train operators suggest travelling either side of the weekend.
Virgin Trains says all its Friday tickets after 9:30am on these weekends are available at Off-Peak prices. More information can be found here.
London Northwestern Railway says its trains from Crewe and Birmingham New Street will run as far as Northampton where a further train and then bus can be picked up. Further details can be found here.
Chiltern Railways is advising its users to allow extra time for journeys as its services, which operate between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone, may be much busier due to taking on other operators' passengers. Find out more here.
