A 16-year-old boy is set to stand trial accused of murdering a father who died following an alleged assault.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared via video-link at Stafford Crown Court on Friday where he pleaded not guilty to killing 42-year-old Derek Whyteside.
Mr Whyteside was found unconscious with serious head injuries in Telford on June 18 this year.
Two other men, William Owens, 41, of Boulton Grange, Telford, and Gareth Edward Owens, 39, of the same address, deny a charge of affray in connection with the incident.
Both appeared in the court where they entered not guilty pleas.
The men, who are on bail, and the youth will all appear back at the court for trial on November 5 in front of the Recorder of Stafford Judge Michael Chambers QC.
