Overnight: Heavy, blustery showers during this evening, but soon easing away east. Clearer spells and lighter winds then likely for a time. However cloud thickening by dawn, with strong southerly winds and further rain moving into the Peak District.
Today: A windy day with outbreaks of rain, most frequent and heaviest across western areas. Eastern areas will stay rather warm and humid, with the best of the drier intervals.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Windy with outbreaks of heavy rain. Driest in the east. Drier, brighter and cooler Sunday with winds easing. Dry for much of Monday but outbreaks of rain perhaps arriving later.
