A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing in Coventry.
The 16-year-old was arrested in Oxford on Thursday morning - five days after Jaydon Washington James died.
Jaydon was with friends in the Wood End area of Coventry on Saturday evening when he was stabbed. Two of his friends were also injured in the incident and have since been released from hospital.
Chief Superintendent Mike O’Hara, from Coventry Police, said: "This is a significant step forward but our enquiries are continuing. A teenage boy has lost his life and I would urge anyone with information which can assist our investigation to come forward as soon as possible."
Tonight there will be a candlelit vigil at St Chad's Church on Hillmorton Road. The church will be open from 7pm for people to pay their respects.
