A woman's body has been found in a river in Derbyshire after a car ended up in the water.
Derbyshire Police and firefighters went to Green Lane in Ashbourne at about 10pm on Saturday 8 December after reports that a car had gone into Henmore Brook.
Today (Sunday 9 December) police confirmed a woman's body had been found.
Police cordoned off Doles Lane and Green Lane for the work to be carried out.
A resident nearby whose house faces the river said it would the fourth vehicle to be trapped in Henmore Brook since he moved there 11 years ago.
Barry Peck said it was not a new thing. He said Clifton Parish Council had put a gauge at the ford and had been working to sort out the problem.
