The UK's first ever Trappist beer has been brewed by monks in Leicestershire.

The monks from Mount St Bernard Abbey closed their dairy farm five years ago because it was uneconomical to keep open.

In order to earn a living, they decided to try brewing as an alternative source of income.

The resulting beer is called Tynt Meadow after the land the monks first settled on.

They have to do the whole process themselves and don't get any outside help.

Their lives are devoted to prayer, contemplation and work.
