A homeless man has been found dead near Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre.
The 31-year-old, named locally as Kane Walker, was found at 3:30pm on Sunday.
Passers-by found his body under Smallbrook Queensway, just a short walk from the shopping centre.
Mr Walker, who is thought to have been known to homeless outreach workers for a number of years, was discovered in an underpass on Pershore Street.
Tributes have been left there today.
The emergency services were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out, but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said,
We were called just after 3:30pm to Pershore Street, near Birmingham Master Locksmiths.
Peter Caine, founder of Helping the Homeless in Birmingham, said Mr Walker's death had "hit the team hard".
Mr Caine said:
We've known him for around four years - since we started.
