Hundreds of pounds in cash has been stolen from an elderly woman's purse in Derby.
The 73-year-old victim had left her bag on a table in a pub when she noticed it had been knocked over. When she picked it up, she realised that around £400 she had taken out to pay her bills and buy her grandchild's birthday present was missing.
It happened on January 26 in the Standing Order in Irongate. Derbyshire Police has now released images of a man they would like to speak to about the theft.
PC Natalie Fletcher said: "The victim has been massively affected by this theft and was very upset when I was taking her statement. I would very much like help from the public in identifying the man in the images so that I can talk to him about the theft."
