A 12-year-old boy has been stabbed and another 12-year-old boy is in police custody.
Police were alerted by ambulance colleagues to reports of a stabbing on Elm Drive, Great Barr at around 3:10pm yesterday, (Saturday 20 April).
A 12-year-old boy had a small amount of cash stolen from him. He was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and stab wounds to his leg.
Fortunately they are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in police custody.
