A father from Birmingham has described the moment police broke into his home and wrongly arrested him in front of his family.

Two doors were kicked in as officers raided the property and arrested Jeff Tasleem and his brother - only to discover they'd raided the wrong address.

The father of six told ITV News how the incident has left his children traumatised.

He said: "Our family were made to suffer and the children were terrorised, they were traumatised and in distress since this happened.

"They don't want to come out of the house, they don't want to go anywhere, they don't want to do anything."

West Midlands Police acknowledged the mistake saying "incidents like this are very rare".

In a statement they said: "We have apologised to the men and other residents at the address and appreciate this would have been a distressing experience. West Midlands Police will obviously pay for damage to the door at the address."
