Roy and Dorothy are got married today

Newlyweds with the combined age of 180 have become one of Britain's oldest couples to get married.

Roy Button who's 93, and Dorothy Moreton who's aged 87, tied the knot at Nuneaton Registration Office today.

I know people will say why bother getting married at our age but, why not? We might not have long left so why not make the most of it.

The pair met 50 years when they were both married to other people.

Roy lost lost his first wife in 1996. He remarried but his second wife died in 2017.

Dorothy's husband Trevor died nine years ago, after they had been married for 40 years.

After losing touch Roy and Dorothy the couple reconnected just over 12 months ago.

We bumped into each other at the Abbeygate shopping centre, he followed me round and then asked for my phone number and we went from that really."
