To mark the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon, Leicestershire's Wistow Maze has been designed in the shape of an astronaut.

The maze opens to the public on 20 July 2019, exactly 50 years to the day that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed.

The eight-acre maze has three miles of pathways with high-level bridges and towers.

It’s a great way to celebrate the most memorable leap for mankind, when Neil Armstrong successfully stepped out of Apollo 11 and landed on the moon.

– Diana Brooks, owner of Wistow Maze

Each year the maze is redesigned using GPS satellite technology, and a the end of the season it is harvested and fed to the cows.

It attracts over 20,000 visitors each year.
