Third man arrested in connection with city centre stabbing

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Leicester.

Police were called to a restaurant in Upper Brown Street at 11.10pm on Monday 15 July and found that two 19-year-old men were being treated for stab wounds by paramedics.

Police arrested a man from Leicester in Leeds yesterday, Sunday 21 July, on suspicion of conspiring to commit grievous bodily harm with intent. He was transported back to Leicester, where he remains in custody.

Following the incident last Monday 15 July, a 23-year-old man was arrested at an address in Vancouver Road while a 22-year-old man was arrested at an address in Edmonton Road.

The 23-year-old has been released with no further action and the 22-year-old has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police investigating the incident would still like to speak to anyone with information about the incident who has not yet come forward.
