The positive benefits of music on mental health and well-being will be the focus of this year's third annual World Music Conference.

Singers, musicians, dancers and artists from across the globe are expected to attend to celebrate the rich diversity of global music.

Academics, health professionals and representatives from some charities will also be there to discuss the wider benefits of music and performance.

A new addition this year is the Midlands Youth Ambassadors for Music initiative to showcase young people's musical talents.

My passion lies in helping to promote people, particularly younger people, for their natural talents and offering a platform to help launch their careers, or add even greater value to their profiles.

– Dr Chithra Ramakrishnan FRSA, founder of the Conference

The World Music Conference will take place at Aston University in Birmingham on Friday 8th November 2019.
