Woman dies after car goes into the River Trent in Hoveringham

A 39-year-old woman has died after a car went into the River Trent.

Police officers were called to Hoveringham Road, Hoveringham, at around 4pm on Tuesday (24 September).

The woman was taken to hospital but died from her injuries a short while after.

No one else has is believed to have been injured in the incident.

Hoveringham Road will remain closed until it has been cleared.

The police are appealing for any witnesses.
