Rapper stabbed during Radio Xtra Live event in Birmingham

Police are investigating an assault that happened backstage at the Radio Xtra Live event at Arena Birmingham last night (5 October).

It's understood that a man, believed to be a rapper called Krept, sustained a slash wound during the assault, which happened at around 10pm. He was treated by on site medical staff and did not require hospital treatment.

"Following an isolated serious incident, we have had to stop 1Xtra Live in Birmingham. We are co-operating fully with the police to establish what has happened."

The rapper, who's real name is Casyo Johnson, thanked fans for their messages via twitter on Sunday (October 6) before saying: "Can't keep a good man down."
