The same man was then said to have returned the following evening where he managed to throw another petrol bomb at the Accord, setting it alight.

West Midlands Police said: “We are appealing for information following two arson attacks in Bordesley Green in September."

“Shortly before 5am on Tuesday 24 September, a man threw a homemade petrol bomb at a parked car; a Honda Accord, before it bounced off and hit another vehicle on Third Avenue.

“The following evening (25 September), we believe the same man returned and threw another petrol bomb at the Honda.

“Fortunately no one was injured in either of these incidents but significant damage was caused to the cars.

“Although the footage is grainy, we hope someone has information on the attacks.”
