A hairdresser from Loughborough has died after being hit by a motorbike on holiday in Spain.
30-year-old Scott Taylor, died in Calpe on the Costa Blanca, following the crash which happened in the early hours of yesterday.
Specialist medical teams and a life support unit were called to the scene but were unable to save him.
Scott's friends have set up a crowdfunding page to help pay for his funeral.
Charlotte Maclennan, who is organising the fund-raiser, said his mum and stepdad had flown to Spain to bring his body back home to Loughborough.
Charlotte wrote on the crowdfunding page:
I can’t actually believe I’m having to do this if I’m honest.
It's understood Scott had been on holiday for two days when the incident happened.
Charlotte said he was on holiday with a friend who decided to go home that night, but Scott stayed out.
They first heard about the incident when Scott's boyfriend tried to call him on his mobile and the Spanish police answered.
Scott worked as a hair stylist at family-run Taylor & Co, in Loughborough, for two years.
People loved him, there were so many people that loved him."
