A teenager has been jailed for murdering 18-year-old Jordan Moazami in Harborne earlier this year.

Hamed Hussein, 19, stabbed Mr Moazami to death in April after an argument over drugs and money.

Mr Moazami was stabbed four times in the back. He was treated by paramedics and doctors at the scene but died of his injuries.

Following a three week trial, Hussein, of no fixed address, was found guilty of murder at Birmingham Crown Court.

Hussein has been sentenced to life to serve a minimum of 19 years behind bars. He was also sentenced to nine months for possession of a knife to run concurrently.

Detective Inspector Michelle Allen, said:

“This is another example of the consequences of carrying a knife. This was an argument between friends, however Hussein chose to carry a knife which led to the tragic death of Jordan.

“Jordan’s death is such a waste of life of a much-loved young man and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time, I hope the outcome today offers some comfort to them."
