Labour deputy leader Tom Watson has announced he is stepping down from the role and will not stand to be an MP in the upcoming General Election.
In a tweet, the former West Bromwich East MP said he remained committed to the Labour party.
Mr Watson also published the resignation letter he sent to Jeremy Corbyn, in which he emphasised that the decision was personal rather than political.
In a statement, the Labour Party said:
After 35 years in full-time politics, Tom Watson is stepping down as an MP and Labour's Deputy Leader.
