A puppy who was snatched from her home during a break in has been reunited with her owners.
The 10-week-old husky, Nala, was stolen from a property on Mortoft Road in Leicester on Tuesday (12 November). It is reported that a group of around five men were carrying knives when they broke into the property. As well as stealing the dog - they took a PlayStation 4, Playstation Controllers and an iPhone.
Nala was found after a member of the public flagged up an advert in a local newspaper where Nala was allegedly put up for sale.
“We would like to thank everyone who has previously shared our appeal and provided information. I am pleased to say Nala has now been found safe. “We are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, which happened during the early hours of Tuesday morning, to make contact.“If you were in the area and saw or heard anything which you think may be linked to this incident, please get in touch.“Anyone who has any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area during the early hours of Tuesday morning is also urged to make contact.”
Enquiries are continuing into the incident and officers are appealing to anyone with any information to contact Leicester Police on 101 quoting incident 19000605792.
